The ROS 9+ is so jamming!!!
The White Rim Trail in Utah’s Canyonlands NP has been on my radar for awhile. I imagined I would do it on a cross bike, carrying only the necessary food and water, one small camera and riding from the early morning to early evening. The reality ended up being quite a bit different. I rolled out on a Mid-Fat outfitted with custom bike bags, carrying 7 liters of water and enough food to feed a kindergarten class for two days! Shit… I even brought an abnormally large camera (at least for me) in addition to my standard point and shoot just because there was still room in the bags. I was rolling in luxury and the bike that made that possible was the Niner ROS 9+!

High Noon Saturday!
On June 20th Golden Saddle Cyclery and Errin from Frontage Roads will be hosting a Swift Campout!!!
The ride to historic Mt Lowe is no cakewalk(About 5,000 feet elevation gain), there will be two routes(one paved/one dirty) heading up to camp. This is BYOEverything!!! Pack food and water for the ride and night! It’s going to be a scorcher!!!
If you have any questions about this Saturday please call the shop and ask for David or Kyle.
3 Feet and rising Ultrasonic MC device!
For the last month now, Chattanooga Police Officer Rob Simmons has been biking around town with a new, unique ultrasonic sensor to make sure that drivers are obeying the state’s three-foot buffer law.
The law, which took effect in 2007, requires that when motorists pass a bike, they’re supposed to allow that much distance. But enforcing this law using only human eyes is pretty much pointless—it would be like trying to enforce speed laws without a radar gun. Tennessee is one of 24 states nationwide to enact such a law, but no other states have enforced the law using a device like this.

A PLAY ACROSS THE COUNTRY!
What would happen if the California drought caused such degradation that everyone was forced to abandon the West and migrate east? That’s the premise of Oakland-based theater troupe Agile Rascal Traveling Bicycle Theatre’s inaugural play, Sunlight on the Brink.

GSC on Cycloid!
It is amazing to see how one bike shop affects whole bike community in one city, Los Angeles and to another. I went San Francisco last year and attended Rapha club ride. One random guy from the group told me that he saw cyclists wear GSC cap more than Rapha cap here. I wouldn’t doubt about it. GSC carries nice steel bikes most likely, yet other legit bikes as well(too many). I really loved the the atmosphere here. I felt like visiting a friend’s house who collects nice bikes and stuff. If you haven’t check this place out, try come by today.
